Melrose Place Residence

A 1928 Spanish villa off Melrose Place, Los Angeles. A two-year renovation for a young Hollywood family — playful, layered, and deeply personal.

The clients' openness to experimentation allowed for a rich mix of vintage and custom pieces alongside contemporary work by Michael Anastassiades, Apparatus Studio, Zak + Fox, and Kelly Wearstler. Inherited furniture was transformed rather than replaced — an antique dresser faux-finished to resemble black rainbow marble became a dining room buffet. A frame found in a Jean Cocteau photograph was replicated as a mirror in the nursery.
