A 1975 redwood post-and-beam house in the hills above Santa Barbara. The clients wanted the house to feel true to its vintage — "If I've got this 1975 house, I want it to feel like 1975." The renovation honored that entirely, opening the second floor into a panoramic living space with views toward the Santa Ynez mountains.
The guest rooms below were inspired by 1970s New Jersey childhoods — cobalt blue wool carpet, stained oak, retro plaid.
