McCadden Residence
A 1926 Mediterranean Revival house in Hancock Park. The challenge: two distinct aesthetics — masculine mid-century and eclectic feminine — made to work together and with the architecture.
The home's clean bones, following a recent architectural renovation, allowed the focus to fall entirely on the decor. Custom and vintage pieces were woven together alongside work by Lawson-Fenning, Peter Dunham Textiles, Stone & Sawyer, and Rewire. A wood-paneled office anchored in mid-century staples — David Hicks rug, Eames Time Life chair, George Nelson bench. Custom marble, brass, and walnut hexagonal bedside tables in the primary bedroom, topped with Kelly Wearstler perforated cylinder lamps. A bespoke white oak dining table with inlaid brass detailing, paired with mint leather chairs.
A subtle star motif runs throughout — a quiet nod to the world the clients inhabit.
